Toronto Classes


Green Willow Karate in Toronto has classes for adult beginners, children, and advanced martial artists.  Each class begins with a warm-up, followed by training in the basics of karate.  Classes may then progress to kata, kobudo (weapons), or kumite (sparring) training appropriate to the level of all students.

Adult All Level Class

Under the direction of certified black belt instructors, learn the virtues of martial arts – discipline, awareness, flexibility and physical fitness.  The class will be divided into two groups:  the Beginner group will focus on basic techniques, self-defense and classical forms (kata) of training; the Intermediate/Advanced group is for those who have mastered the introductory level and wish to continue to perfect their skills.

Please wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing - no uniform required

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Tuesday night from 8-9:30 p.m.
The Proctor Field House of Glendon Campus, main Gym.
 

Children's Class - Ages 7 and Up.

This introductory course is designed especially for children ages 7 to 12 years.  Workouts will be fun and entertaining, while placing equal emphasis on discipline and building self-esteem.  Participants will discover the many benefits of physical training such as improved coordination, fitness and mental concentration.

Please wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing - no uniform required.

Driving directions

The campus is 15 minutes south of Highway 401, 15 minutes west of the Don Valley Parkway, 20 minutes north of the Lakeshore, and 25 minutes east of Pearson International Airport.

From Highway 401

•    Exit at Bayview Avenue and go southbound to Lawrence Avenue. Take the ramp on the right then turn left at the stop sign. Drive east on Lawrence straight onto the campus.

From the QEW

•    Take the Don Valley Parkway to Bayview Avenue. Go northbound to Lawrence Avenue then take the ramp on the right. The campus will be on your right, at the stop sign.

By public transport

The nearest subway station is Lawrence Station (on the Yonge line). From there, take the 124 Sunnybrook Hospital bus. The campus is located at the intersection of Bayview and Lawrence Avenues, only minutes away. The bus stops right in front of the campus.
